Power, voltage, and size—kept simple
It runs on 400V, with a 300mm tube. That combo packs a lot of heat into a tight space, which is exactly what high-speed cycles demand. Higher voltage means lower current for the same wattage, so the wiring and contactors in the blower get a break. And that 300mm length lines up with the standard heating window in the Techne section, so you don’t have to rework the reflector or mounting bracket. **Here’s the catch:**all that power density needs clean airflow and a cooling path that’s up to spec. If the airflow is weak, the lamp and nearby parts run hotter, and you’ll see the life of the lamp shrink.
What’s inside—and why it matters
Inside, you’ve got a halogen element in a quartz envelope. Halogen gives you steady output over time and quick thermal response, so the lamp recovers fast between cycles. We also added a reflective coating on the quartz to push energy forward. Less wasted heat. More usable intensity hitting the preform. And the connector? It’s R7s—an industrial two-pin design that locks in place and handles the heat near the blower. It seats solid, stays put, and keeps the contact cool. No wiggle. No hot spots.
