If you’ve ever tried to swap out infrared lamps in a PET blowing machine, you know it’s not as simple as just matching the wattage. Whether you’re running a SIPA SFR 12 or a Sidel—anything from the old SBOs to the new Matrix series—the real trick is keeping that thermal profile steady without having to rebuild your entire oven. The fit has to be perfect. We build these lamps to be true drop-in replacements. I’m talking exact lengths and exact voltages. Why? Because if a lamp is off by even a couple of millimeters, it won’t sit right in the reflectors. When that happens, you get hot spots and cold spots. Then you start seeing those annoying wall thickness variations in your bottles. It’s a headache you don’t need. That’s why we obsess over the heat density across the whole quartz envelope—it keeps things consistent, even when your rotary blow molding is running at full tilt. Quality that actually lasts.
