We wanted to kill that annoying lag time during startup and cycle shifts. Getting the heat right, faster The secret is in the guts of the lamp. We used a specific halogen gas fill and high-density tungsten filaments. Why? Because it means the lamp hits its operating temperature way faster. It’s simple: the preform hits the glass transition temperature exactly when it reaches the blow station. No guessing. No waiting around. No headaches during install These are true drop-in replacements. We didn’t want you spending your afternoon tinkering with oven racks or messing with the wiring. We matched the dimensions and connector footprints to the SBO 20 Series 2 exactly. Slide them in, and you’re good to go. We also used high-purity quartz glass. You know how some lamps get cloudy over time because gunk bakes onto the surface? We fixed that. A quick heads-up on the trade-offs Look, there’s a catch. These are high-wattage, fast-start lamps. They push the power supply and the sockets a bit harder. Because they pack a lot of heat into a small space, you’ve got to keep your oven ventilation clean. If your cooling fans are choked with dust, that heat builds up and eats away at the lamp’s life. Keep the fans clear, and you’re golden.
